A week ago the world was normal. Kids rode the bus to school. People flooded through the local mall. Resteraunts and bars were filled with happy patrons. I was the senior engineer for Logan Telecom, a newcomer to the broadband internet scene. We provide internet service in the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton area of Pennsylvania. My boss asked me to set up a blog. He wanted to give his Mom-and-Pop ISP a human face.
And then all this civil unrest came.
The world isn’t normal anymore. Mindless packs of rabid people stumble up and down the city streets. The kid aren’t in school and nobody goes to bars anymore. A few of us, however, still have work to do. We here at Logan Telecom will continue to provide service at least until the government restores order. Or until we’re nothing more than a pack of mindless rabid people.
